25 years concession for the operation of the wastewater services (2 WWTP, sewer network and pumping stations) for the municipality of Budapest (1.700.000 inhabitants).

Background

In 1997 the municipality of Budapest tendered the operation of the wastewater services by selling 24, 9 % of the shares of the operation company and municipal subsidiary FCsM Rt.
Veolia water, Berlinwasser and EBRD agreed on a consortium and the Joint Venture Csatorna Holding Rt. ( Veolia 35 %, BWI/BWH 35 %, EBRD 30 % ) won the tender process.
The dividend to the private shareholders is depending on operational and commercial improvements to be calculated and evaluated against the initial figures from 1997 every year.
